How to implement applications on a construction site?

Implementing new technologies in a company is always a significant challenge. The digitization of processes is a change that may be met with resistance from the team. The mere introduction of ‘change’ is often unwelcome. In light of this, what should be done to make the application implementation process effective for all stakeholders?

Every industry is changing, evolving, and consequently streamlining processes that demand it. Currently, process digitization is omnipresent, and we observe these changes in every sector of the economy, in every industry. New systems and applications are being introduced in various areas of the company. Regardless of the industry or the size of the company, the goal is the same: improving team efficiency. So, if we decide to make changes, we want them to happen quickly and seamlessly. How can we achieve that?

This question arises in almost every conversation with our clients. The application meets expectations, the benefits are evident, but how to efficiently implement it for sometimes even over 100 or 200 employees?

The key to successfully introducing an application to a company is a deployment process that is tailored to the organization’s needs. Our experience shows that a well-planned implementation process is the foundation for success. Based on implementations in organizations of various sizes and the nature of investments, we have developed our own implementation plan, which we carry out in collaboration with clients.

Thanks to an individual approach, we are able to ensure that clients do not feel burdened by the process change. Each of our clients is under the care of a dedicated consultant who guides users through the training process and provides assistance throughout the entire duration of our collaboration.

How does the implementation process look like?

Analytics, or statistical reports – a quantitative analysis that I will dedicate a separate article to in the future. An analytical panel consisting of 10 specialized, highly configurable charts allows for a quick and convenient overview of the construction site. Data from this module can also be exported for purposes such as inclusion in presentations or further calculations.

GATHERING REQUIREMENTS – The first step is to submit the implementation form. It is a simple questionnaire that will allow us to prepare the project environment for each investment. Completing such a document takes a maximum of 30 minutes. We will take care of the rest.

CONFIGURATION OF THE PROJECT IN THE APPLICATION – After our implementation team prepares the project, a dedicated customer care representative contacts the users to arrange the training schedule and location (online or in person). The completed project consists of provided documentation with the appropriate structure, task types unique to a specific investment, and all companies involved in the construction process.

TRAINING – We provide training for both the General Contractor’s team and Subcontractors working on a specific investment. Someone is absent? No problem. Our consultant will contact those who couldn’t attend the training and arrange an additional session.

DEDICATED CONSULTANT SUPPORT – After the training, users are ready to use the Hustro application, but in case of any questions, requests, or needs, the project manager is always available.

We conclude the entire implementation process with an NPS (Net Promoter Score) survey after a month of using the application. This survey allows us to assess the level of user satisfaction. Based on it, we can make adjustments and improve elements of the application to better meet the actual needs of users.

Introducing new technologies is a significant challenge, so it is crucial to ensure proper handling and customer support in this process. Key to the implementation process is creating a clear and concise implementation plan, which helps the client prepare for the application deployment on the construction site. With the assignment of a dedicated consultant to the company, the time spent on application implementation is minimized, and the construction staff is relieved from implementing the solution on their own.
